AutoScreenShield is designed with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data whatsoever.

Data Collection

AutoScreenShield collects no data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected
• No browsing history is tracked
• No analytics or telemetry data is gathered
• No cookies are used
• No user accounts are required

Local Processing

All functionality of AutoScreenShield operates entirely within your browser:

• Screen sharing detection runs locally using browser APIs
• Tab masking is performed client-side
• Your blocklist configuration is stored in Chrome's local storage on your device only
• No data ever leaves your browser

No External Communication

AutoScreenShield makes zero network requests. The extension:

• Does not connect to any external servers
• Does not send any data to third parties
• Does not include any third-party tracking scripts
• Works completely offline after installation

Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:

• tabs — To detect and mask tabs during screen sharing
• storage — To save your blocklist preferences locally

Changes

If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Given that we collect no data, significant changes are unlikely.
